Note:
MSS SP-43 only covers stainless steel buttweld fittings made for use with Schedule 5S and 10S pipe and Stub Ends suitable for use with Schedule 40S pipe, as defined in ASME B36.19. The dimensions and dimensional tolerances defined in MSS SP-43 are substantially the same as those in ASME B16.9 specifications from NPS 1/2 – NPS 24. Except with regard to the outside diameter at the bevel.
Tee Type1. Butt welded tee: refers to a tee fitting that is welded after being connected to a connecting pipe fitting.
2. Socket type tee: It is a tee fitting that is welded or fused by inserting connecting fittings into each end of the tee.
3. Card sleeve tee: It is a tee fitting with card sleeve joints at each end, which is inserted into the pipe and then tightened.
4. Threaded tee: a tee fitting that connects fittings in a threaded manner
Application
The Equal tee and Reduce Tee fittings are used in places where pipelines have branches, and are widely used in fields such as chemical engineering, civil construction, machinery manufacturing, and shipbuilding industry
